10th February 2008 - Dynamo FC 10 - 1 UG United - League Plate
Jayson Drayton (3), Jon Silk (3), Stefano Gordon (3), Niall Boland

Div 4 Dynamo showed their class this week in the plate by beating div 3 UG united 10-1.It was only 10 minutes before Jayson Drayton opened the scoring for Dynamo when he got on the end of a cross from the left wing. Stefano Gordan was next to add his name to the list with a strike from just outside of the box that finished in the bottom corner.  25 minutes in and Jason Drayton knocked the ball passed the UG defence and took on the keeper only to find himself out alone on the right, with a lovely ball across the box to Jon Silk who left footed into the net. A 50/50 challenge saw Jon silk and UG’s keeper clash,  play was stopped while the keeper was treated for a cut to his hand. 40 minutes in and Jason Drayton was on the attack again when he ran through the UG defence and couldn’t be stopped by the keeper as he placed the ball in the corner of the net. The second half started much the same as the first finished this time Niall Boland finding the net with a corner that he curled between a defender and the front post to make it 5-0. Stefano Gordan again found himself in the right place when Drayton knocked the ball over the UG defence and Gordan run onto it to smash it past the keeper. Jon Silk found his feet and the net twice in 10 minutes to make the score 8-0 with 20 minutes to go. UG got their first real chance of the game 75 minutes in and knocked one past Dynamo keeper Malcolm Dempster to bring the score to 8-1. Gordan and Drayton paired up again which see Gordan find his third of the game only for Drayton to follow minutes later to found his third before the full time whistle.

 Man Of The Match...Stefano Gordon

3rd February 2008 - Harberts 2 - 4 Dynamo FC - Div 4
Jayson Drayton (2), Terry Samuels, Sean Mitchell

The game started at a fast pace and it was only a few minutes till Jason Drayton opened the scoring for Dynamo. With a few players missing from the Dynamo squad they knew it was never going to be an easy game! 15 minutes in and Harberts found the goal they had been looking for after Tony Melville-Taylor was cautioned by the referee and Harberts were awarded a penalty. Both teams were finding it hard and just couldn’t find their feet till 35 minutes in when Drayton found the net again. Dynamo celebrations were short lived as Fraser Cameron brought down a Harberts player in the box for their 2nd penalty and 2nd goal of the game.In the 2nd half Dynamo made some changes and tried to take hold of the game but with a few chances missed and Chris Hardiman on the attack for Harberts, it was hard to say how it would finish. 20 minutes from the whistle Terry Samuels found the net to put Dynamo in front once again. This was shortly followed when new signing Sean Mitchell confirmed the result with 6 minutes left, this finished the game, Harberts 2 – 4 Dynamo.

 Man Of The Match...Sean Mitchell

27th January 2008 - Cottingham 0 - 12 Dynamo FC - Div 4
Jayson Drayton (7), Richard Sparrow, Niall Boland, Jon Silk, Lewis Ashby, Sean Mitchell

With the first goal taking its time to come, once it did there was no stopping Jason Drayton who netted three more before the half time whistle to make it 4 – 0 to Dynamo. The second half started as the first finished with Drayton finding the net again just after the start. Cottingham found their selves with a chance when they had a free kick just outside of the box that was tipped over the crossbar by Dynamo keeper Malcolm Dempster. Jon Silk was next to add to the score and then minutes later he hit the post, as the ball shot across the mouth of the goal Drayton tipped it over the line to get his 6th. Dynamo made some changes and took off left back Mark Howe for striker Lewis Ashby. With 3 upfront the goals where coming thick and fast. After a few missed chances Niall Boland found the top corner of the net from the edge of the box. Drayton couldn’t be stopped again and he found this 7th of the game. Lewis Ashby took Dynamo into double figure with the goal of the game from just outside the box he curled the ball into the top corner. Richard Sparrow made sure he got his name on the scoreboard when both team thought the ball had gone out for a corner Sparrow from a tight angle curled the ball into the net. Dynamo’s latest signing Sean Mitchell was the last to score with a lovely run down the wing he smashed it into the net to see the game finish 12-0 to Dynamo

13th January 2008 - Dynamo FC 4 - 1 FC Flare - Div 4
Stefano Gordon, Richard Sparrow, Niall Boland, Jon Silk

Dynamo make it two wins out of two over rivals FC Flare
Both teams came out wanting a win form this derby. With both teams on the attack from the start it took till the 25th minute for Dynamo to open the scoring with a cross from Richard Sparrow which found the head of Stefano Gordon who nodded it into the net.  Dynamo took charge of the game at this point and were on the attack. It didn’t take long for Richard Sparrow to find the net again for Dynamo with a free kick from around the halfway line that bounced and went over the Flare keeper.
At the start of the second half Flare come out fighting back & Dynamo took their foot off the pedal for a minute. A free kick to Flare just outside the 18yd box that went through the wall only to be saved by Malcolm Dempster showed them the error of their ways and they stepped up their game. Niall Boland found the net with a lovely cross from Terry Samuels to make it 3-0 Dynamo. A great new partnership for Dynamo in Sean Mitchell and Niall Boland on the left see them make a run and Sean Mitchell taken down in the box to win a penalty which was taken by Dynamo captain Darren Moore only to soar over the crossbar.
A long ball from flare, over the Dynamo defence left Dynamo’s keeper Malcolm Dempster one on one. Dempster off his line got a hand on the ball only for it to bounce over him and a great run from Fraser Cameron to get to the line, his best effort only got his studs to the ball which was not enough to stop the ball crossing the line.
Dynamo took charge of the game once again which see Jon Silk find the net for Dynamo’s fourth goal with a ball through Flare goalkeeper Lee Wilkinson’s legs.
A 4-1 win see Dynamo beat league rivals FC Flare for the second time this season and make them 8 points clear top of the div 4 table.

 Man Of The Match...Fraser Cameron

3rd December 2007 - Dynamo FC 0 - 1 Clark FC - Div 4 Cup

With bad conditions this was going to be a tough game for both teams. Rain was settling on the pitch which made it difficult to play the passing game which Dynamo are used to doing. Clark settled for the long ball approach and with a free kick on the edge of Dynamo’s box, they took advantage of the wind behind them. Lifting a ball over the wall and into the far left corner, with the wind blowing the rain into his face and making it hard to see, keeper Malcolm Dempster was unable to get a hand to it. The score stayed the same as the teams walked in at half time. The second half saw a different game with Dynamo on the attack and the ball not leaving the Clark half more than 3 times. With everyone pushed up except Fraser Cameron, Dynamo desperately tried to get the goal back, but with corner after corner not finding a Dynamo player they were unable to find the net and it showed that they were missing their best aerial attacker being Terry Samuels. The game finished 1-0 to Clark and a heartbroken Dynamo being knocked out of the Div 4 Cup.

Good luck Clark. You’ve always given us a good game and we would like to wish you all the best for the final against FC Flare, we know you can do it, and we’ll be cheering for you on the day!!!

Man Of The Match...Dan Broad

25th November 2007 - Ashfield Albion 1 - 7 Dynamo FC - Div 4
Jason Drayton (2), Jon Silk (5)

After last week’s performance the boys were out to prove they were still the best team in the league and that this would be an easy game, but when chance after chance after chance for Dynamo kept missing the target, Ashfield only needed the one attempt to show that they could open up our defence to make it 1-0. With a few ex-Dynamo players now playing for Ashfield this meant a lot to some of the boys, this showed and it wasn’t long before Dynamo showed what they were about and eventually got the goals they deserved. The teams went in at half time with the score line 3-1 to Dynamo. The second half started as the first finished with Dynamo having control of the game, with plenty of quality passing and plenty of chances on goal. Jon Silk added to the tally making his total for the game 5 and Jason Drayton’s 2 to see the game finish 7-1.

Man Of The Match...Jon Silk

18th November 2007 - Dynamo FC 1 - 6 Abbey Albion - Div 4
Darren Moore

The game started out badly with three key players missing and one who walked off 2 minutes before kick-off. It was not long before Abbey opened the scoring, Dynamo couldn’t seem to settle into the game and it was clear where the players were missing on the pitch. Dynamo were not helped any further when an early substitute was needed to replace the injured left back. Abbey then stamped their name on the game by making it 3-0 by half time.
The break saw the arrival of 2 of the missing players and Dynamo managed to pull a goal back through the head of Darren Moore but this was not the start of a great comeback. A bad tackle from Jon Silk got the teams fired up which resulted in 2 reds for Dynamo and one for Abbey. The game went downhill from there with the remaining Dynamo players unable to hold off Abbey, The game finished 6-1 Abbey and ended Dynamo’s unbeaten league run.

Man Of The Match...Marc Howe

11th November 2007 - Dynamo FC 7 - 1 Harberts Old Boys - Div 4
Jason Drayton (5), Jon Silk (2)

Dynamo started fast for this top of the league clash. From the kick off they were on the attack, passing the ball around and making it look easy. 10 Minutes in and Jayson Drayton opened the scoring for Dynamo only for Harberts to fight back hard and level the score on 20 minutes. Dynamo stepped up a gear with Terry Samuels putting some fine balls out to the right wing for Tony Melville-Taylor to put into the Harberts box finding the 2 strikers. Drayton managed to get a further hat-trick and Jon silk also managed to find the back of the net before the interval, which saw Dynamo leading 5-1.
The second half started as the first ended with Dynamo on the attack. They took charge of the game from start to finish where their skill and pace proved too much for the Harberts Old Boys, whose back four had a combined age of 196 years. Both Silk and Drayton each managed to find the net once more in the second half, making it 10 in 2 games for Drayton. The final whistle saw the match finish Dynamo 7 – 1 Harberts Old Boys, and Dynamo continue their unbeaten run in Division 4 and putting them 7 points clear.

Man Of The Match...Tony Melville-Taylor

4th November 2007 - Dynamo FC 6 - 3 Broadley Common - Div 4
Jason Drayton (5), Stefano Gordon

Dynamo finish Broadley’s unbeaten run!! It wasn’t the start that Dynamo were looking for, having to kick off with 9 men but 10 minutes in and they were up to 11. Jason Drayton opened the scoring for Dynamo only to see Broadley hit back hard and level the score within minutes. Dynamo’s heads dropped and Broadley made the most of the few openings they had, before Dynamo knew what was happening they were 3-1 down. Some slick passing from Chris Andrews through to Tony Melville-Taylor on the wing and on to the feet of Drayton give him his 2nd goal of the game and showed Dynamo that they had been making it hard for themselves. A handball in the Broadley area gave Dynamo a chance of pulling it back, only for Stefano Gordon to kick it into a neighbouring town. A disappointed Gordon struck back a few minutes later with a fantastic strike from just outside the box reaching the top left corner of the net, leaving the score 3-3 at the interval.
Dynamo came out with a different attitude in the 2nd half and took charge of the game. A fine strike from Tony Melville-Taylor hit the post, this was shortly followed by a great effort from Niall Boland which was stopped by the Broadley keeper. 9 minutes from the whistle Jason Drayton secured his hat-trick and put Dynamo on top, this was the start of things to come and Drayton showed his class by netting two more in 7 minutes. At the whistle the score was 6-3, giving Dynamo 3 points to remain top of division 4 and continue their unbeaten run.

Man Of The Match...Jayson Drayton

28th October 2007 - Cottingham 1 - 8 Dynamo FC - Div 4
Tony Melville-Taylor, Jon Silk (3), Jason Drayton (2), Stefano Gordon (2)

With conditions not favouring attractive football – both Dynamo and Cottingham began the encounter with a long ball approach, on what proved to be a wet and windy morning.  Dynamo struck first through Tony Melville-Taylor, but was immediately cancelled out from the restart by Cottingham.  It looked like it was going to be all square at the break but Jayson Drayton slotted home for Dynamo to make it 2-1 at the interval. Dynamo changed their shape by introducing Stefano Gordon and switching from 442 to a 352 which had an instant impact.  Some slick passing and clever interplay proved far too much for the weary home side and Cottingham eventually folded with goals flying in from all angles.  Jayson Drayton scored one more, Jon Silk netted a second half hat-trick while Stefano Gordon added two more to make it 8-1 at the final whistle.  It could well have been 9-1 had the referee not stopped Tony Melville-Taylor from scoring as he was through on goal, by blowing for time. However – the scoreline remained 8-1 to Dynamo which put them back to the top of Division Four.

Man Of The Match...Stefano Gordon

14th October 2007 - Langley Legends 1 - 3 Dynamo FC - Div 4
Jason Drayton (2), Jon Silk

Dynamo started out the blocks quickly and soon opened the scoring in the first five minutes with a fine strike from Jayson Drayton.  Some of Dynamo’s passing was a delight and it wasn’t long before a 2nd goal from Jon Silk made it 2-0. Dynamo took there foot off the pedal which allowed Langley to rally shortly before half time and give them the chance they had been looking for as they pulled back a goal, beating Dynamo keeper Malcolm Dempster. Langley switched to a 4-5-1 but this didn’t seem to unsettle the Dynamo midfield who were still in charge and it wasn’t long before Jayson Drayton scored his 2nd goal of the game. Tony Melville-Taylor thumped a fine effort against the crossbar and that was followed by a few near misses from Jayson Drayton who was looking for his hat-trick. Both teams where on the attack towards the end of the game but the score line remained the same 3-1, which resulted in another win for Dynamo which further confirmed their place at the top of the table.

Man Of The Match...Jason Drayton

7th October 2007 - Dynamo FC 2 - 1 Clark FC - Div 4
Niall Boland, Jason Drayton

The second week in a row playing Clark FC and they came out with a fighting spirit, it took Dynamo a little while to get in to it. Once they did they took control of the game and held the majority of the possession but had only a few chances on goal. The whistle went for half time 0-0. Dynamo made 2 changes at the break with 2 new signings out for their debuts. Straight away Dynamo took control again and after 5 minutes of pressure, a poor clearance from Clark FC fell to Niall Boland on the edge of the box who volleyed it in to the bottom left corner of the net. Dynamo 1 - 0 Clark. Clark still failed to make a big impact on the game, and never really tested the Dynamo keeper until 10 minutes from time when Malcolm Dempster made a good couple of saves in a goal mouth scramble but Clark managed to pull it back to 1-1. The scramble saw Dan Broad, a Dynamo centre back get injured, and having used all their subs meant they had a reshuffle but still they fought hard for the remainder of the game. And with a few minutes to go Chris Andrews put a ball down the right wing to Stefano Gordon who headed the ball across the box with Jayson Drayton getting on the end of it and knocking it in to the Clark net. That saw an end to the game, Dynamo FC 2 - 1 Clark FC. A great result for Dynamo putting them top of Division 4.

Man Of The Match...Malcolm Dempster

30th September 2007 - FC Clark 2 - 4 Dynamo FC - Div 4

Terry Samuels, Jon Silk, Jason Drayton, Tony Melville-Taylor

Dynamo went out with something to prove this week after last weeks game and all the lads were fired up. Terry opened the scoring with a header from a corner from Niall on 15 minutes. Clark defended well to go into the second half at Dynamo 1 - 0 Clark. The second half started and Silky managed to be in the right place to make it 2, and for his 1st league goal of the season. FC Clark weren't going to go down without a fight and with a long ball from their defense saw the Dynamo keeper Malcolm try to come out to collect it but with a badly injured knee was beaten to it by a Clark striker to make it 2-1. Clark saw some hope and carried on fighting back and with passion running high this resulted with 1 of their players receiving a red card. With Clark down to 10, Dynamo sat back for an easy ride but Clark fought and fought and managed to pull it back to 2-2. Dynamo realised their error in sitting back and Jason managed to break though the Clark defense to get Dynamo's 3rd goal to make it a goal in every game for him. With a long ball from Fraser to right of the box over the defenders head, Tony found space and smashed it on the volley past the Clark keeper which he had no chance in stopping. A strike which can only be rivalled by his own a couple of weeks back.

Man Of The Match...Jon Silk

23rd September 2007 - Old Town Athletic 9 - 2 Dynamo FC - League Cup

Richard Sparrow, Jon Silk

I think we can safely say that Dynamo came to this game with the right attitude. They started out fighting hard and it paid off when Rich scored in the early moments of the match. Dynamo made a big mistake of sitting back and this left them wide open to a very strong Old Town team. Before we knew it the tables had turned and we were chasing. Half time showed a massive turn around in the spirit in the team and they were already beaten. The team went back out with no fight in them and before we knew it the score was 5-1. Silky put 1 more away for Dynamo but this didn't pick up the team spirit. Old Town showed their strength and at times made Dynamo keeper Malcolm fight hard often with 3 players on 1. This showed in the final score and at the end of the game lessons were learnt to never sit back of give up fighting.

Man Of The Match...Jay Drayton

16th September 2007 – Dynamo FC 6 - 3 Broadley Common – Div 4 Cup
Terry Samuels, Fraser Cameron (2), Tony Melville-Taylor (2), Jay Drayton

The first game for Dynamo and the 1st game where a few of Dynamo's new players found there feet. Dynamo opened the scoring with a lovely ball from Niall which found the head of Terry to make it 1-0 early on. Fraser then followed it up shortly after with a lovely shot from the edge of the box which the keeper could only push it to his own net. Shortly after half time Broadley started to fight back and dragged the score to 2-2. Dynamo seeing the error of their ways and Broadley leaving gaps on the wings, Tony found himself in a place to score his first goal from the wing. On the break Tony again found space down the wing and put a lovely ball across the box to Silky whose shot was saved by the Broadley keeper, only for it to rebound to Fraser and make it 4-2. Broadley again found us napping to find their 3rd goal but the Dynamo lads still had fight left and with a Broadley corner where the pushed all but 2 up, Dynamo broke and with a play from Fraser to Niall on the wing, and then a ball through to Jason who ran with it from the half way line and round the keeper to take it to 5-3. Again finding space on the right, Chris knocked it to Tony who ran it down the wing to the edge of the box and smashed it into the Broadley net  giving the keeper no chance of stopping it and making it a definite contender for goal of the season!

Man Of The Match...Chris Andrews

9th September 2007 – Abbey Albion 1 – 1 Dynamo FC – Div 4
Niall Boland

Bit of a shuffle today with positions as Captain Darren not available for the game. Everyone seemed up for it before the match but as it got going we seemed to have forgotten all the stuff we've picked up over the past few weeks and with the new players arriving. Not being able to link many passes together, not getting our feet on the ball, no great chances. Quite lucky as Abbey couldn't work on our weaknesses and the 1st half finished 0-0. The 2nd half started like the 1st finished, neither team taking control and failure to break open the defenses. Abbey almost opened the scoring but Dan done his job standing on the post  and managed to head clear, nutting the post in the process. Finally with a long ball through the 2 Abbey centre backs and both our strikers running onto it it looked like we would take the lead, only for the keeper to bring Tony down inside the box, penalty awarded, up steps Silky. Unfortunately the keeper guessed the right way, ball rebounding to Matt but our luck was not in as he put it over the bar from close range. With 10 minutes to go, and 20 yards out, Niall tries his luck, and he has some with the keeper not reaching the bottom left corner shot. 1-0 Dynamo!!! With the final whistle seconds away Abbey manage to find a small gap to shoot from the edge of the box, going wide and Malcolm following it to be sure, it deflects off one of their players to go in the opposite direction and into our net. 1-1. Play resumes but the final whistle goes. A good result for how we played on the day.

Man of the match for us...Niall Boland. Chasing every ball, defending, attacking, never tiring, playing all over the park. Great game, Great goal!!!

2nd September 2007 – FC Flare 1 – 3 Dynamo FC – Div 4
Rich Sparrow, Fraser Cameron, Terry Samuels

For the 1st game of the season everyone was up for it straight from the off, clearly visible in the 1st 25 minutes of the game with us dominating the match and Flare rarely touching the ball, a goal was son to be scored. So up pops Leigh Gott for the 1st of the season, everyone cheering…hang about…did he not leave Dynamo to go to Flare, I think he did. Cheers Gotty for that OG, do that again in our next fixture against Flare and I bet Dan will be well chuffed at his top summer signing. But Rich claimed it to get his name on the score sheet. Flare started to wake up a bit after this but still not to what we had expected, so with a run down the left by Silky, managing to pull the defender and the keeper out to him, a chipped cross over to Terry, only for him to put it against the bar, but luckily it rebounded to Fraser who struck it into the net! Then Flare managed to get through the Dynamo defence finally by nodding a ball over the top for their striker to run onto and score but only for Dynamo to strike again, this time with a speedy run down the left by Niall, a lovely out swinging cross straight onto the head of Terry who nodded it over the keeper. 3-1 Dynamo FC and what seemed like a much deserved win on the day.

Man of the match for us…Darren Moore. A great personal performance but also held the defense together well!!!!
